Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc.

Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc. was founded on December 4, 1906 at Cornell University in Ithica, New York. The mission of the fraternity was to build the intellectual and economic status of the African American community through community service, displaying an unparalleled level of brotherhood and reassuring young men that they had something to contribute to society. The Eta Tau chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc. was founded on October 9, 1971 at Illinois State University and has been following the light of Alpha ever since.
